Rodolpho Gomez

Rodolfo Gomez came to NCTC to pursue an Associate of Arts because he wanted to complete his education in the most affordable way possible and NCTC made it easy to stay connected and feel supported within the community.

Rodolfo now serves as a Senior Counselor at the University of North Texas, where he guides students in their pursuit of careers in the health professions.

Rebecca Hammond 1

Rebecca Hammond

Rebecca Hammond received an Associate of Art in General Studies from NCTC in 2020. She was originally drawn to NCTC to get a jumpstart on her education through dual credit classes. 

After graduating from NCTC, Rebecca transferred to the University of North Texas (UNT) from which she received a BS in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology in 2022. Currently, she is a 3rd year Doctor of Audiology student at UNT.

Ashley Jeffcoat

Ashley Jeffcoat

Ashley originally started at NCTC in 2001 after graduating high school starting with basics and went down the path of a business degree. After a year of college she got a job working for a multinational retail corporation and later was promoted to an Asset Protection and Compliance Manager. After 16 years in that job Ashley decided to return to school to pursue her dream of becoming a Cosmetologist.

Jessie Brauer

Jessie Brauer

Jessie Brauer majored in Psychology due to her interest in how the human mind works and how our thoughts and behaviors influence people's lives, also believing that people have much more potential than they are aware of. She was drawn to NCTC because she wanted the opportunity to begin higher-education at a very slow pace, not attempting college courses until she turned 40.

Since graduating from NCTC, Jessie has maintained her position as Center Manager for TWU's Center for Research Design & Analysis. Outside of her professional path, Jessie has mentored both undergraduate and graduate students in creating public-facing projects, completed several independent research studies with her faculty mentor, Dr. Christian Hart, and has received awards for both her research and writing projects within the institution.

Lexie Broyles

Lexie Broyles

Lexie Broyles pursued an Associate of Arts degree with a focus in education while at NCTC knowing that she wanted to be an educator in some capacity.

Since graduating from NCTC, Lexie sought more focused skills to help individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She received both a Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. Lexie now serves as a Clinical Director for Action Behavior Centers, where she leads a team of clinicians in providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children with autism.

Mati Rigsby

Mati Rigsby

Mati Rigsby completed her Associate of Arts in General Studies with honors while attending NCTC. 

Since graduating from NCTC, Mati earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health as well as a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Texas A&M University. She also completed her Doctor of Health Sciences degree from Liberty University. This education allowed Mati the opportunity to build a career supporting various nonprofit healthcare facilities as an emergency responder, researcher, grant writer, and epidemiologist. Mati currently has a role as an administrative coordinator for rural hospitals, including North Texas Medical Center in her hometown of Gainesville, Texas.

Mavis Javier

Mavis Javier pursued an A.S. in Computer Science because she wanted to transfer those credits for a Bachelor's in Computer Science at UT Dallas to become a Software Developer. Mavis now has a full-time position as a Software Developer.

Presley Cox

Presley Cox

Presley Cox chose to study Criminal Justice at NCTC because she wanted a career that allowed her to advocate for children. Now, Presley is the CASA Supervisor for Virginias House Child/ Family Resource Center.
