Expanded Scholarship Opportunity Supports Future Engineers at NCTC
Gainesville, Texas – North Central Texas College (NCTC) is proud to announce a generous donation to the Red River Promise Scholarship Program, made possible through the support of NCTC alumnus Troy Wolf, to help students pursue and advance their educational goals.
A proud alumnus of both NCTC and the University of North Texas (UNT), Troy began his higher education journey at NCTC’s Gainesville Campus. Currently a resident of Denton County, he remains deeply committed to expanding access to higher education and creating opportunities for students to succeed.
The Troy Wolf Red River Promise Engineering Scholarship is designed to help bridge NCTC’s Industrial Technology programs to UNT’s Engineering program through the Red River Promise initiative. In addition to his support at NCTC, Troy has also endowed a scholarship at UNT specifically for a Red River Promise engineering student, further strengthening the pathway from community college to university and into high-demand engineering careers.
Eligibility requirements for the Troy Wolf Red River Promise Engineering Scholarship include participation in the Red River Promise program and graduation from a high school located in Cooke, Montague, or Young counties in Texas. Recipients must major in engineering-related fields, including Industrial Technology, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines, and must maintain compliance with all NCTC Red River Promise criteria through graduation.
